Dock seal or dock shelter: which one fits your dock?

Both close the gap around the trailer. The right one depends mostly on the trailers you receive.

The gap you're paying for

With the dock door open and a trailer backed in, there's a gap between the trailer and the building. Heated or refrigerated air leaves through it, and weather, dust and pests come in.

Dock seals

Foam pads on the wall compress against the back of the trailer for a tight closure. They work best when most trailers are the same height and width, and they're a common choice for temperature-controlled docks.

Dock shelters

A frame with curtains wraps the sides and top of the trailer without touching the rear, so the full trailer opening stays free. They handle a wider mix of trailer sizes.
